Oil and Gas Wastewater Treatment

Oil and Gas Wastewater Treatment

As more hydraulic fracturing wells come into operation, the stress on surface water and groundwater supply increases. The expanding volume of oil and gas wastewater created needs to be captured, disposed of, or recycled in an environmentally sustainable manner so the environmental protection agencies continue to increase regulations.

Petrochemical wastewater is complex and we understand there is a need to treat petrochemical applications with a non-chemical treatment process. With more than 40 years of experience in oil and gas wastewater treatment, we have the expertise to create a comprehensive solution to treat your wastewater, meet increasingly strict governmental regulations, and support long-term water life cycle management.

AIRE-O2® Aspirator

Wastewater created from shale oil and gas extraction contain high levels of total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and a variety of bacteria agents.

The Aire-O2® Aspirator Aerator injects atmospheric air underwater via breakthrough propeller technology to combine excellent mixing capabilities with wide-dispersion, fine bubble aeration (<= 2mm in diameter). This is optimal for oxidizing sulfides, eliminating black sludge formation, and supporting organics consuming aerobic microbes. The Aire-O2 Aspirator Aerator is non-splashing: it puts air into the water rather than water into the air, eliminating BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes), and other VOC emissions. The result: better, faster frac water treatment and safer workplace air quality.

Benefits of the Aire-O2® Aspirator Aerator

  • Eliminates black sludge
  • Oxidizes sulfides to harmless sulfates
  • Long lasting chemical resistant water lubricated bearings
  • No aerosols, splashing, or emissions
  • Quiet operation

Unmatched Durability.

Our powerful, efficient motor features a 1.15 service factor with available cast iron framing, weather-tight conduit box, and corrosion resistant hardware. The AIRE-O2 Aspirator was designed for years of continuous operation in high chloride, corrosive frac water environments thanks to:

  • High polish 304 or 316 stainless steel housing
  • Structural frames
  • Lower shaft and prop
  • Water lubricated bearing
