Aeration Industries’ Argos Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) offers greater process flexibility of the activated sludge wastewater treatment process matched with substantial capital equipment savings, ease of installation, and maintenance. Utilizing a uniquely engineered gear driven decanter and dual-function Aire-O2 Triton® process aerator and mixer, the Argos SBR is an ideal system for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities looking for a user-friendly, energy-efficient solution.

Aeration Industries has partnered with Wagner Fluids Systems, a process equipment supplier with an established history of SBR designs, to develop the unique Argos design. Wagner's decanter and controls design have a proven record of providing a high quality effluent. The Aire-O2 Triton® provides all the aeration and mixing, eliminating all the expenses of diffusers and associated networks. As a result, the design is greatly simplified and costs dramatically reduced. The Triton units are float mounted and ride up and down on slide rail system to accommodate the changing water levels in the SBR. The units are easy to install and are accessible for routine maintenance.

MODE 1:
  • Influent entering SBR.
  • Water level RISING from low water level (LWL) for set time.
  • Triton blower is OFF, Triton mixer motor is ON.
  • Decanter raised above maximum water level.

MODE 4:
  • No influent.
  • No aeration/mixing (Triton OFF).
  • Decanter is slowly lowered to remove the clarified effluent.
Argos SBR Benefits:
  • Low maintenance and user friendly design.
  • Aire-O2 Triton® aerators provides all the aeration and mixing:
    - see our Triton page for details.
    - Eliminates all diffusers and associated network costs
    - Dual-Function capability offers independent control of aeration and mixing modes
for a wide degree of process control and flexibility.
    - Easy to integrate nitrification/ denitrification cycles and to facilitate
      biological phosphorus removal.
    - Eliminates the need for separate mixers.
    - Surface mounted allows for ease of inspection and maintenance.
  • Tritons' strong mixing allows for deep basin designs reducing plant footprint.
  • Gear-driven decanter with solids exclusion weir insures a controlled high quality effluent.
  • Tested and proven controls package.
  • Eliminates final clarifiers and associated pumping.
  • Multi-reactor Batch and Single-reactor Continuous Flow designs available.
